Recently, we started offering our members the possibility to borrow our Moving Van. This is completely free! The only thing you need to pay for is the fuel costs.

How do I borrow the Moving Van?

Make a reservation

The button below will redirect you to a Google Calendar. There you can select the day you want to borrow the bus. The bus can be borrowed during the weekends. Reservations can be made up to three days in advance.

Check your e-mail

After making the reservation, you will receive an email with which you can start reading the manual and sign the contract. The contract can also be found below as an example.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance can I make a reservation?

You can make a reservation up to 7 days in advance and up to a maximum of 4 weeks in advance.

Where am I allowed to drive the bus?

The bus can be used anywhere within the Netherlands. It is not allowed to take the van abroad.

When is the bus available for borrowing?

Generally, the bus is only available on Saturdays and Sundays, possibly with exceptions during holidays. Available dates can be found on the reservation page.

What are the requirements for me to be able to borrow the bus?

To be able to borrow the bus, you must meet two conditions. You are a member of the tenant organization WijWonen on the day of use, and you have been in possession of a B or BE driving license for at least 1 year.

The van is not available on the date I want to borrow it, are there other options?

All dates on which the bus is available for lending are listed on the reservation page. If there are no more options available, it means that the bus is fully booked. It is not possible to borrow the bus at another time.

Can I borrow the van multiple days?

It is not possible to borrow the bus for more than one day in a row. The intention is to pick up the key in the morning and return it on the same day.

Do I need to drive the bus myself if I want to borrow it?

The person who makes the reservation and signs the agreement for borrowing the bus is also the only person allowed to drive the bus. Lending or driving the bus by third parties is not allowed.

Must I make a deposit?

To borrow the bus, you are required to pay a deposit of €200. You will receive instructions on how to pay the deposit after the agreement has been signed.

Do you have to pick up the key yourself and do you need to bring anything for this?

You always have to pick up the key yourself, and bring your driver’s license as identification.

Where can I pick up the key?

At least 1 day before the reservation, you will be contacted to arrange where and when to pick up the key and the van. This will normally take place with one of the board members.

What type of bus is it and how much space is there?

The van is a Volkswagen Transporter T6 2.0 TDI 84hp L2H1. It has a total of 9 seats, with the rear 2 rows of seats being removable to increase cargo space. The other seats can be folded down. It has a sliding door on the side and a rear liftgate that opens upward.

Are damages or fines my responsibility?

During the use of the van, and as long as the key to the van is in your possession, you are fully liable for any form of damage or defects to the van. You are also liable for any fines incurred during the period of use.

Are there any other costs associated with borrowing the van besides fuel expenses?

Borrowing the bus is free of charge. You only pay for the fuel or possible parking costs. Of course, you also pay for any damages or fines incurred during the use of the bus.
